Amla Juice For Constipation this question feed

Due to my constipation problem and feeling of tiredness, I am taking AMLA Juice daily. Is their any bad effect in my body if I continue using it for long time. I have already completed 2 bottles and continuing.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

It is necessary to analyse the cause of constipation. Constipation is mainly caused due to improper unhealthy eating habits or lack of exercise. If the constipation persists, it is necessary to rule out if there are any structural changes like diverticulosis or any systemic involvement like hypothyroidism or depression. Any medicine is advised for a specific period along with dietary modification and exercise. So you must also make some changes in your diet and gradually reduce amla churnam. There will be no side effects in using for longer periods. You can stop it after finishing this bottle and can take it whenever necessary. Try not to eat full stomach or large quantities. Eat little quantities with more intervals. Include complex carbohydrates, fiber, ginger, garlic, asafoetida, prunes, figs, yam, mung dal, sweet potatoes, pepper and buttermilk. Drink enough water for a better metabolism. Yogasanas like trikonasana, pavanamuktasana, baddha konasana, ardhamatsyendrasana, ustrasana, halasana, malasana and savasana are beneficial.

Constipation is explained as difficulty in passing stools in any form. If you are experiencing constipation from many years, it can be considered as medication condition and chronic condition. Since this condition is medical, it is better to get it assessed thoroughly before going to appropriate self medications or even supplements for that matter. In your case assuming that you have only constipation alone, we would like to suggest to go with some medications in Ayurveda such as Constipation Package Medication that contains Abhayaristha to be consumed 30 ml twice daily after food and two tablets to be consumed one-one after food, twice daily and Divya Churna to be consumed one teaspoon after dinner, which helps to improve intestinal movements and process the digestion, absorption, and assimilation and various steps of digestion. You can continue Amla Churna as rejuvenator and maintain proper moisture while formation of stools and it is also good in constipation. Consuming fiber rich food is very much important and you can include all types of food, however try to limit excessive salts in diet and even maintain low fat diet.

Try to maintain proper timings of food intake, follow regular intervals of food. Morning you can have heavy breakfast and later on reduce the quantity and maintain intervals and chew the food properly.

Following Yoga postures are helpful to relieve constipation such as Mayurasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Matsyendrasana, Halasana, Pavanamuktasana, Badda Konasana, Suryanamaskara, Sarvangasana are indicated for relieving from constipation.

I do not know if my problem is a bowel syndrome, i have much flatulence, stool is sometimes hard, sometimes soft. Bloating sensation in stomach after eating on and off, and slight pain near the liver (i think) area. I also feel tired on and off, my weight has been constant around 85 Kgs, not lost weight.
