I have one more question regarding pranayama. Can we do anulom-vilom pranayama first by inhaling through the right nostril and then through left one.

Thank you for your reply. Is it true if one has a quick temper it helps to cool a person down if they start from the right nostril. Also, if one is doing it in winter this helps prevent cold.

Left nostril represents energy of moon which symbolises peace and has cooling effect.Hence for the purification of numerous nadis anulom vilom should be started from left nostril ,performed for 5-15 mins daily. Dr Geetika

I live in a cold country where it is not possible to do pranayama in open air in the winter. So, can I do pranayama in a room with heater on with the door slightly open for fresh air to come?
