Arachnoid cysts which are formed with cerebrospinal fluid-filled sacs between the brain or spinal cord and the arachnoid membrane. It is primary and secondary depending on origin. It is not clear in your case, if it is since birth, then it is considered as primary, if it is appeared after trauma, then it is secondary. Usually arachnoid cysts form outside the temporal lobe of the brain in an area of the skull known as the middle cranial fossa.
