Corn Corn is explained as a small, raised bump on outer layer of skin with painful condition, if this raised bump is rough and thickened patch, it is called callus. There are mainly three types of corn based on texture. Hard, soft, and seeded corn, and in your case, it may be hard. There are many causative factors for appearance of corns, usually, if there is too much pressure is applied as long-standing jobs etc, there may be chances of corns or callus formation. If it is untreated, sores may appear with swollen skin. If you are a patient of diabetes mellitus, and any leg-vein disorders such as TAO, or poor circulation, etc, there may be chances of further complications. To avoid these complications one should take care. Similar to allopath medicines for topical applications, there are herbal medicines which help to heal corns. Calendula officinalis and Aloe barbadensis are useful herbs if used in combination for topical applications. Home remedies such as using Martricaria recutita or chamomile tea with lemon juice one teaspoon, with crushed garlic clove is helpful. Apply Aloevera gel and turmeric powder with 1:2 ratio and apply bandage overnight and massage with mustard or Brassica cruciferae oil next day. You can consume Kayakalp Vati internally.
