Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

The prognosis of epilepsy is that there will be an increased tendency to recur. It also depends on the cause and there will be a link with genetics. Some of them outgrow it completely in which the reason is not clear. It also depends on the type as generalised seizure with myoclonic convulsions needs more attention with medicines than the mild focal seizures. If there are no seizures for two years completely, the medicines can be stopped or reduced after consulting the treating physician based on your specific type of seizure.

Ayurvedic medicines like Divya Amlapittantak tablet for acidity, Divya Medha Vati and Mahakalyanaka ghrit - 1tsp at bedtime can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Pancha Karma treatments like head massage, oil massage, pizhichal, shirodhara, shiro vasti and nasyam will be beneficial.

As you are getting seizures, please continue with the Allopathy medicines as advised and do have regular checkups. Include complex carbohydrates, fiber, coriander, bottle gourd, horse gram, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, red pepper, olive oil, carrots, parsley and avocados. Reduce excess canned foods, sugar, salt and oil.

Make sure you manage the stress in a better way and try to have sufficient sleep. Try to exercise regularly which will help to control your weight. Try to eat little food with more frequencies. It is better to have a light early supper without any fat or carbohydrates. Please let me know your height to guide you about the weight range and the necessity of the medicines.

Hello,

Usually if you are diagnosed with Epilepsy, there are some medicines which you need to continue for longer years so that your seizure attack would not appear again. In your case apparently you have used medications some time period and after that you are again getting repetitive seizures and I am not sure as of now that you are continuing medications or not, However this has to be noted that, do not stop allopath medication which you are currently taking and along with that you can consider having Ayurvedic Medicine in the form of Package Medicine for Epilepsy that contains combination of medication which you need to continue for longer period along with your regular medication and additional to this package you may need to use a Special ghee preparation called Panchagavya Gritham with dosage of 1 tsp with warm water to be consumed in empty stomach daily is indicated.

You can plan for Shirodhara which is helpful.

You can practice all types of breathing exercises including Anulomaviloma Pranayama, Bastrika Pranayama etc. Meditation is always helpful when you are practicing it in calm room and with breathing steps.

Though there is no restricted diet, but try to avoid non-vegetarian food on regular basis and you can have rarely if you are very fond of taking non-veg and you can be with fresh green leafy vegetables in diet, and Green tea is also recommended.
