My age is 24 my height is 5ft 11inch and my weight is 95 kgs i have checked my bp it is 160/80 m have quitted smoking and drinking habbits i have genetic problem of blood pressure m feeling very depressed that in this young age i have blood pressure what should i do I have done my lipid profile and kft all are normal

Please let me know if you are taking any allopathy medicines and the duration of elevated systolic blood pressure. High systolic blood pressure increases the risk of cardiac problems if left untreated. It is commonly seen in those with diabetes, thyroid problem or defective arteries in the older age group and sometimes seen in younger age groups also. Please do not stress as healthy lifestyle changes will help to reduce the elevated systolic pressure.

Include berries, grapes, horsegram, green tea, cabbage, cinnamon, garlic, ginger, turmeric, drumstick, fenugreek, bittergourd, plantain stem and celery. Reduce excess meat, canned foods, oil, sugar, salt and refined flour. Practice Yogasanas like Padmasana, Marjaryasana, Trikonasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana, Utkadasna, Paschimottasana, Halasana, Padahastasana, Uthithapadasana and Matsyasana.

There is a self drainage system in eyes which maintains the normal intraoccular pressure by draining the extra fluids from eyes. Age:32, Male, ECG, Thyroid, Kidney, all the tests are normal inspite of such blood pressure varying 150/80, somes times 130/90 and 140/90. It has been since 7 years.
