Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Tuberculous mastitis is considered as a granulomatous mastitis or secondary to Mycobacterium bacillus infection in the breast. It may also happen as a result of reverse lymph flow or direct spread of infection from the intrathorasic foci. Please take the medicines prescribed to reduce the infection. Ayurvedic medicines can also be taken to reduce the infection and it will help to reduce the recurrence of the infection.

Ayurvedic medicines like Varunadi kvath- 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food, Divya Kanchnar Guggulu and Divya Vriddhivaadhika Vati can be taken for a month and reviewed.

Include berries, garlic, horse gram, turmeric, cinnamon, bottle gourd, ginger and pepper. Reduce excess sugar, black gram, meat, dairy products, salt, oil and refined flour. Please continue to have regular checkups.

Hello,

Mastitis or inflammation of the breast tissue often arises in lactating mothers as a result of some infections . But it can arise otherwise also as secondary to Tubercular infection elsewhere in the body or as primary tubercular infection of the breast. In your case since recurrent attacks are there even after anti-tubercular treatment your immunity has to be maintained by proper diet , medications and lifestyle changes for getting permanent cure . But now since pus collection is there it has to be drained to avoid damage to breast tissue . Once that is done and you finish the antibiotic course for it you can take the following medicines . 1)Guduchyadi Kwadha : 20 ml + 40 ml luke warm water twice daily before food . 2)Tab.Mahasudarshan Ghan Vati 1-0-1 after food. 3)Indukantam Ghritam : 1tsp in empty stomach in the morning and at bed time . Diet : Reduce excess spicy , salty, sour food.Drink 3 litres of water daily boiled with dried ginger . Lifestyle : Practice regular pranayama and yoga . Avoid day sleep, sedentary life style , excess exposure to cold .
