Hi sir, my sister is 22yrs old and she is suffering with autism from childhood is there any curing procedure for her. if yes if Assist us with your valuable suggestion. awaiting for your reply. Thank you.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hello, Autism refers to a neuro biological pervasive developmental disorder which mainly is characterized by abnormality in social skills,language development retardation, verbal communication deficit and intellectual and congenital deficits. Mental retardation is major associated symptom. Ayurvedic medicines should be administered regularly although the results will be bit slow- 1. Mamsyadi kshaya- 30ml in equal amount of water twice a day before meals. 2.Divya medha vati -2 tablets twice a day with luke warm water after meals. 3.Brahmi bati -2 tablets twice a day with luke warm water after meals. 4. Mix equal amount of jatamansi churan with vacha churan and pipramoola churan and take one tablespoon with luke warm water twice a day after meals. In panchkarma procedure like ksheer shiro dhara or shiro dhara with ashwagandha kwath should also be administered. Yogic exercises like sarvangasan, shavasan, dhanurasan, halasan etc should be practiced daily along with pranayam like bhastrika, anulom vilom and bhramri.

Autism in adults is managed similar to those with psychological issues based on the symptoms. Regular counselling will be essential along with therapies. It is problem due to the defective processing in the brain leading to symptoms that affect the social interaction, emotional instability and mood changes.

Ayurvedic medicines like Sarasvata aristam, Bhrma Rasayanam - 1tsp before food twice daily and Aswagandha churnam can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Ayurvedic treatments like head massage, shirodhara, nasyam and vasti will be beneficial.

Include pomegranates, grapes, warm milk, carbohydrates, avocados, garlic, spinach, turmeric, cinnamon and olive oil. Reduce excess oil, caffeine, cold refrigerated foods, refined flour, sugar and salt. Good support, care and affection form the family members will be beneficial. Eating healthy food, regular exercise and sufficient sleep will help for a better psychological well-being.
