Hello sir, Chyawanprash can be taken even if you are suffering from high cholesterol levels as it is indicated for the altered lipid profile. There are many research papers conducted for the same chyawanprash and its uses. Since we use processed ghee for the preparation of chyawanprash, there wont be any chance of raised lipid levels in your body due to cholesterol. Chyawanprash is a powerful cardiotonic and strengthens heart, improves force and rate of contraction of heart by improving the blood supply to cardiac muscles. It helps in purification of blood and elimination of toxins. Chyawanprash also lowers cholesterol levles by improving blood lipid profile as it contains Harithaki, Amla, and Bahira drugs which reduce cholesterol induced atherosclerosis. Mean while for reducing high cholesterol levels you can do regular exercises. The best thing a person can do to keep cholesterol level down is to eat less foods that have a lot of fat and cholesterol in them. Losing weight is also important. Home remedies: 1.Garlic buds (4buds) consume after boiling it in milk. 2.Methi powder(Fenugreek powder) daily ½ teaspoon with warm water. Medications in Ayurveda: Himalaya Abana can be taken.
