Hello sir,

Due to less immunity power, your child may be suffering from this problem and as it is from long time, it should be treated symptomatically and one has to gain immunity power, so that there will be improvement in this condition.

Preventive measures are also important such as avoiding exposure to cold climate, or cold food items. Avoid spices, sour food items, oil-fried food.

There are some home remedies which can be tried conveniently.

Ginger is good herbal remedy for your problem. About ten grams of ginger should be cut into small pieces and boiled in a cup of water. It should then be strained and half a teaspoon of sugar added to it. This decoction should be drunk when hot. Ginger tea, prepared by adding a few pieces of ginger into boiled water before adding the tea leaves, is also an effective remedy for colds and for fevers resulting from cold. It may be taken twice daily. Or you can use lemon in following manner. Quarter piece of lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily.

There are few medications such as cough and cold medicine package and medicines to increase immunity power, you can give Himalaya Septilin daily one tab. Divya-Chyawanprash

You can ask him to start yoga and meditation according to your convenience. It should be done under strict supervision. Anuloma-Viloma Pranayam is beneficial.

For further doubts, feel free to ask any doubts. With regards, Dr.Vijay.
