E Coli recurrent prostrate infection

My father aged 73 years is suffering from recurrent escheria coli infection in prostrate and has been hospitalized 2 times in last 4 months.Alleopathy medicines nitrofurantoin antibiotic tablets prescribed by doctors does not fully cure it.Please help.
