Food and herbs to take during pregnancy 
doctor my daughter is 6 weeks pregnant i just wanted to find out what kind of food and indian herbs and spices she should be taking so that she has no problem during delivery and also she has a very healthy and active child

Expert's Advice:- Hello sir, There are many restriction in food intake during pregnancy. Food items such as sour food items and too spicy food items should be avoided. The herbs which cause contractions in uterus should be avoided. They are Aloevera (should be avoided even during breast feeding), barberry, caffeine, comfrey, cumin seeds, cotton root, liquorice, etc should be avoided. Raw eggs, fish in excess to be avoided. Sea foods like fish with mercury, smoked seafood, fish exposed to industrial pollutants, raw shellfish, should be avoided. Raw meats to be avoided. Soft cheeses should be avoided. Unpasteurized milk should be avoided. Alcohol should be avoided. Unwashed vegetables are also harmful to use. Fruits like papaya should be avoided. For more details do contact us.
