Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hepatitis-C of the liver must be treated with the anti-viral medications to prevent the deterioration of the function of the liver. The inflammation tend to cause cirrhosis if it persists and progresses. Please let me know the other investigations and reports to guide you further. Fibrosis will develop gradually increasing the scarring of the liver. Please do have regular checkups as advised by your treating physician.

Package of Ayurvedic medicine for Cirrhosis of Liver can be taken for a month and then review.

Include kiwi fruit, phyllanthus niruri, horse gram, oranges, lemon, buttermilk, garlic, turmeric, coriander and bottle gourd. Reduce excess fried foods, cold refrigerated foods, canned foods, sugar, coffee, tea, carbonated beverages and salt. Good rest and proper sleep will be beneficial to recover from the symptoms. The complications like ascitis or oesophageal varices must be treated immediately with the symptoms like enlargement of the abdomen or bleeding.

Hello,

When you are infected with Hepatitis C which lead to inflammation of liver and hampering its functions. Hence, the goal of treatment is to remove the virus from the blood and prevent or reduce the risk of liver cirrhosis or cancer. Though there are many medicines in market which are of antiviral type, there are restrictions and duration of the treatment goes for weeks (up to 48 weeks or sometimes more) and with side effects and proper monitoring of patient is indicated as you may undergo anaemic, depression, fever, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, and digestion related complaints.

Alternative care indicated that one should be on proper and well balanced diet and limited diet is recommended and avoid hepatotoxic drugs and habits like smoking and alcohol, or tobacco chewing should be stopped. Get vaccination against hepatitis A and B. Here, rather than cure, one can maintain healthy lifestyle, and to prevent major disorders like Cirrhosis of the liver or liver Cancer. Avoid contact with blood and blood products, avoid tattoos or body piercings, and be careful while having sexual intercourse and see that partner is screened for hepatitis C if there is any suspicion. Ayurvedic medicines such as Livomap, Cytogen, Phaltrikadi Kashaya, Divya Punarnavarisht are the medicines which are helpful.

With regards, Dr.Vijay.
