Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hepatitis E is caused by the infection of the hepatitis E virus which is commonly spread through the faecal-oral route and by blood transmissions. It usually resolves in 6-8weeks, but regular checkups must be done as a fulminant form can be more severe. SGPT is more concentrated in the liver and hence it will be raised in any infection of the liver. As you start with the medicines it will gradually come down. It causes jaundice, anorexia, abdominal pain, nausea and fever.

There are no specific antiviral medicines for Vitamin E, you can take Ayurvedic medicines which are very effective for the liver problems. Medicines like Patola Katurohinyadi kasayam - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Divya Arogya vardhini vati, Chinchadi lehyam - 1tsp after food twice daily can be taken for a month and then reviewed.

Eat easily digestable freshly cooked foods. Generally foods like cucumber, bottle gourd, rice, tomato juice, raddish leaves, rasam are easily digested. Buttermilk can be taken if there is no fever. Reduce excess oily, fatty foods, sweet and salt. Drink enough water and try to maintain personal hygein by washing your hands.

Hello,

Hepatitis E is viral infection transmitted through contaminated water and food usually and rarely through infected blood. It usually subsides on its own with certain dietary changes. No specific antiviral therapy is available for Hepatitis E.

By following Ayurvedic medicines and specific diet you can get rid of the weight loss and other symptoms that you are experiencing. Take plenty of water and light, nutritious food. Boil water with dried ginger and use it for drinking. You can take green gram soup for breakfast spiced up with pepper. You can have fruit juices like grapes, oranges, pomegranate, pappaya.

Medicines :

1) Drakshady Kwadha : 20 ml + 40 ml luke warm water thrice daily 1hr before food.

2) Tab.Nirocil : 2-2-2 after food

3)Avipathy Curnam : 5 g with honey/warm water at bed time daily

4) Drakshady Lehyam : 1 tsp in the morning.

With this you will regain your lost health.
