Hello, Hydronephrosis is the enlargement or distension of the renal pelvis or urine collecting structures and pelvis of both kidneys. This may be unilateral or bilateral. Hydronephrosis is a condition that is associated with diseases related to renal system and it is not disease itself. There are many reasons such as obstructive uropathy, vesicoureteric reflux or backflow of urine from bladder to kidney, Nephrolithiasis or kidney stones, Hydronephrosis due to pregnancy etc. In your case this is due to renal calculi and related surgery. Symptoms include feeling of abdominal mass with flank pain, urinary tract infections, nausea and vomiting, fever, dysuria, increased urinary frequency, and incontinence etc. If there is emergency, one has to consult allopath doctors for more details. In ayurveda there are certain medicines which help to get rid from this problem such as Vrikkdoshar Vati, and Gokshuradi Guggulu can be consume internally. Consuming chandana or sandal powder with water is also useful. Even Sandal wood paste is useful to apply on lower abdomen. Ashmarihar Kvath can be consumed in the following manner {Mode of Administration : Boil one teaspoon (5 gms.) with 400 ml. of water till 100 ml. remains, strain it out & take before Breakfast and Dinner.} and add 2 pinch of Giloy Sat for treating urinary infections and Hydronephrosis.
