Hydrocele

Hydrocele is a condition where the accumulation of fluid in the sac like structure which surrounds the testicle. Though it is painless, there will be pain when there is trauma, and may affect spermatogenesis and there will be disturbed lifestyle which has to be corrected as the earliest. There is surgical procedure for the same and in ayurveda, there are some internal medicines and external medicines which will help to treat the condition. There are herbs like Turmeric, Triphala Churna, Haridra, Daruharidra, Amla, GrithaKumari for external and internal usage. One should consume fresh fruit juices like grapes, oranges, pineapple, lemon, in adequate amounts. Cold and hot water sitz bath is indicated for the same compliant. Pelvic floor exercises are indicated for hydrocele. Following medicines like Kanchanara guggulu, Punarnavarishtam, Vriddivadhika Vati are helpful for internal usage. Application of Dashangalepam is also useful. Avoid strenuous exercises however. One should not work in extreme hot temperatures or cold temperatures for those who are trying for conceiving as there may be disturbances in spermatogenesis.
