Infertility this question feed

asked by Bonny on 8 February 2010 18:29

Presently I am 37 yrs old female. 4 yrs trying to concieve. Have regular menstrual cyle at due dates with no pain. But have low sexual apetite. My Hormonal tests show that it is all normal. . Tested Fallopin Tube Blockage through HSG process & tested no Blockage in 2007.
Ungergone Vitro Fertilisation 4 times (failed ) & 1 IVF (failed ) in 2007. Can this IVF or Vitro Fertilisation lead to Fallopin Tube Blockage ? Which I have a doubt.

Hello madam,

Infertility should be evaluated from both the man and the woman. After evaluating the cause, individual care must be taken.

The most common female infertility factor is an ovulation disorder, though you have regular menstrual cycles. Other causes include blocked fallopian tubes, which can occur if the woman has had pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is an endocrine disorder that can cause infertility as can uterine fibroids and birth defects that affect the structure of the uterus. Management of infertility includes both the physical and emotional care of the couple.

There are many organic causes for fallopian tube blockage, where IVF may also a cause. Apart from this complaint you stated regarding low sexual appetite which may be the other factor for the infertility along with mental stress, fatigue and anxiety.

For healthy reproductive function, you may follow some tips, It is therefore important that the mind is properly nourished, receives sufficient oxygenated blood, and has correct hormonal balance, for this you have to follow yoga and pranayama regularly.

There are some herbal medicines such as Shatavari-Asparagus which strengthens and increases muscle tone and increases the overall mass strength. It also helps to moisten dry tissue, of female sexual organs and increases levels of testosterone. Muslaipower extra which is beneficial to overcome female libido. KadaliKalpa Rasayanam also good for the same complaint.

For further queries feel free to ask. With regards, Dr.Vijay.
