You can apply medicated oil to maintain joint flexibility and stability, you can ask her to apply some medicate oils such as Divya Pidantak taila followed by mild fomentation with cloth soaked in hot water and Rheumartho Gold
Panchakarma treatment is helpful such as Janu basti, and local massage also helpful.
Follow balanced diet, which is very important.
If surgery is indicated in priority base, then you can proceed accordingly with doctor.
