Hepatocellular carcinoma is also called as liver cancer. Usually liver cancer starts with scarring of liver or cirrhosis. Cirrhosis of liver may occur due to many reasons such as any kind of infections such as viral hepatitis, hemochromatosis, alcoholism, and other liver related infections.

In your wife’s case, liver cancer may occur due to many reasons related to liver.
