Hello, As per your complaint, it seems you have upper respiratory tract infections that may be due to climate variation. As the cough is a modified respiratory act and it may cause throat irritation. In your case, there may be dry or productive cough, resulting chest pain. Prolonged cough and chest pain may lead to other complaints. So, one should get controlled from this illness. There are many alternative therapies including ayurvedic medicines, home remedies. There are many herbs, like Tulasi, lemon, ginger, henna, onion etc are useful for the cough problem. Honey, turmeric also useful for the cough and cold. Honey and lemon in equal quantity is useful. Onion piece with honey may also helpful. Ginger with honey combination is good. Turmeric powder added in milk also helpful for the cough problem. Regular pranayama is very useful for the cough, as Anuloma-Viloma Pranayama is useful. There are few medicines which help Cough and cold medicine, Divya Chyawanprash one teaspoon twice daily, and Himalaya Septilin in tablet can be taken.
