Obesity and thyroid this question feed

namaste, i am a unmarried, 21yr girl, ht 5ft 1 inch',i have got thyroid and my weight has got increased to 8o kg,i am suffering with light periods and spoting even after periods, i have started treatment and even had sonography which says that my uterus has got smaller and the periods blood has left in my uterus, if even after treatment of one month if my periods problem continue than they will remove blood thru other way by vagina,pls suggest me what pranayam and yoga to be done for overcoming my problem as i dont want to do that technique of removing blood, i want to regulate naturally my periods and weight loss.pls sir reply soon. thanking you

Hello,

As per your given complaints, you have obesity as your body mass index shows 33.32 which comes under obesity category. Your thyroid complaint and weight issues and irregular menstrual cycles are interrelated with hormonal imbalances. Since this issues is related with hormonal imbalances, you can have symptomatic treatments as well as preventive treatments.

With the help of Indian system of medicines such as ayurveda, siddha, homeopathy, and other system of medicines, this problems can be solved. To keep your reproductive system healthier, and to bring the hormones in to normalcy, you need to consume these medicines along with exercises and diet. However, you need to consume allopath medicines whenever necessary. Follow proper diet which includes fiber-rich foods, and avoid oily foods, spicy foods etc.

Yoga and pranayama are very helpful. Anuloma-viloma pranayama along with kapalabhati pranayama are useful.

Consume Triphala churnam 1 tsp with lukewarm water or with honey in the morning. Consume lukewarm water, ginger tea etc are useful and other liquids like consuming juices made of Apple, Water melon, Papaya, Pineapple, etc are helpful and consume vegetables like Carrot, Asparagus, Cabbage, mint, bitter gourd are also helpful. Divya Loki Juice can be consumed by adding ½ tsp honey. Ayurslim and Medohar Vati are helpful.

Divya Kanchanar Guggulu is also useful for thyroid issue.
