Overweight
My daughter is 15 years old. She matured at the age of 11 years. She has been a very healthy child. She was getting regular menses initially. Oflate for the last two years her menses are irregular, once in 45 days to two months. I started her on homeopathy medicines for the last one year. I got her tested for PCOS. Because she is only 15 years, doctors could not tell correctly whether she has PCOS problems. But with the amount of weight she has been putting on for the last five years, and growth of unnecessary hair on her stomach, doctor said she may be having PCOS problem. Last two years she has put on 10 kgs. She is 5.7" height and weights 80 kgs. I put her on moong diet, joined her in the gym, but she is not able to loose any weight.
Last two months she has been doing regular pranayam and some yoga exercises. Just a couple of days ago I realised she has lost all unecessary hair on her stomach. I am also giving her medohar vati for weight loss.
Can you advise me how I can work with her to loose her excess weight. Please advise me what diet I should put her on and what medicines I should give her.
Regards
Viju

Expert's Advice:- Hello sir, There are two issues to be concentrated on your daughter. One is irregular periods and rule out the related disorders if any and another is over weight issue. Your daughter’s height is 5.7" and weights 80 kgs and her Body mass index is 27.68 which comes under the category of Over Weight. This may be due to irregular periods and imbalance in hormones which has to be treated simultaneously.
