PLEASE SUGGEST THE ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE FOR MY PROBLEMS
Respected Swamiji,
PROBLEM:Severe pain in my upper abdomen with vomiting and loose motion sometimes. Dear sir,
I am 31 yrs old, Male, DOB: 19.09.1979, by profession an Electronics Engineer and involced in a veri stratious job at kolkata.
From 14.06.09 i have been suffering a sudden high pain in my upper abdomen and continuous vomiting along with. This has made me to get admitted in a local Nurshing home in June 09. The doctor has prescribed USG of whole abdomen and Upper G.I Endoscopy.
The USG report was clear but the upper G.I Endoscopy report showed that there were few erosions in D1 section, D2 was normal. As per the doctor’s diagnosis it is Duodenal ulcer.
After that, I followed the medicines prescribed by the doctor as follows: a. Sampraz 40 mg -1 tab before dinner for 2 mnths b. Praz D 40 -1 before b.t for 10 days But again the problem reappears just after 10 days coming back from nurshinghome.
So i went to a another doctor(gastro) immediately who has also diagnosis as an acute Peptic ulcer and has given me some more medicines a. Pantacid Fast 40- 2 tab per day for 3 days b. Zofar MD 8 mg immediately -1 tab in 8 hrs interval for 3 days c. Yogut-1 capsule daily at b.t
I followed his treatment for three months but the problem did not reduce. Sometimes it gets vanished and again after some day it re appears. This has made me scared of taking food and I have lost body weight of 20 kgs in 6 mnths (from 86 kgs to 66 kgs)
During this tenure, I have visited three times to the 2nd doctor and he has changed medicine a. Rabiplus 20 ; 1-0-1 x 14 days b. Mucaine gel- 2TSF twice daily before meals c. Cifran OZ; 1-0-1 d. Drotin DS- 1 tab SOS
I also have experienced uncontrolled loose motion four five times during this three months time (sept to dec 09)
Now again in Dec 09 I have experienced the same pain and vomiting and loose motion so doctor again prescribed a. Imodium for stopping loose motion b. Rabiplus 20 ;1-0-1 c. Bevon CD- 1 cap before dinner for 20 days
Finally i have got the same problem again on 28th January 2010 and again got admitted in nurshing home.
Doctor has done upper G.I Endoscopy, Ct scan of whole abdomen. Chest x-ray and Colonoscopy
The upper G.I Eendoscopy revealed some small Duodenal ulceration with duodenotis. Chest X ray and CT scan of abdomen were clear but Colonoscopy revealed evident of ulcerated lesions in the caecum, ascending and descending colon with evident of multiple ulcerations in the rectum (sample taken for biopsies)-suggestive of inflammatory bowel disease.
I am released from nurshinghome on 2/02/2010 and now on rest at home(7 days). Doctor has prescribed the following medicines ............ a. Inflacol 400 ; 2-2-2cfor 7 days and 1-1-1 in next 21 days b. Rabium 20; 1-0-1 for 1st 14 days and 1-0-0 for next 14 days c. Entofoam enema P.R ; Twice daily d. Yogut ; 0-0-1 e. Cifran 500; 1-0-1 for 3 days
Now kindly suggest my next step and kindly advice some alternative medicine for better and effective treatment. i have already started doing kapalbhati also. Awaiting your valued suggestion as this is affecting my professional career badly.

Hello sir, According do your complaint, mainly you have the following problems, as per reports you have upper GI problems as well as colonic problems(Duodenal ulceration with duodenitis)( ulcerated lesions in the caecum, ascending and descending colon), so there is a reoccurrence of the same problem along with loose motions, this problem also considered as chronic too. So, along with allopathy medicines you need to depend on alternative therapies too, such as ayurvedic medicines as well as yoga and meditations. First I would like to suggest some tips which you may be following or you may not, so this information may help you. * Early morning, empty stomach you need to consume lukewarm water. * Take your meals regularly on time, don’t skip them. * Morning you need to take heavy break fast(which is indicated for your complaint) and night light supper * Always chew your food properly. * If you feel acid problem in your stomach then chew some basil leaves. Slowly suck a small piece of Jaggery. * A glass of chilled milk is a quick remedy for hyperacidity and heartburn. * Almonds are quite effective in treating heartburn; chew few almonds when you experience heartburn. * Ginger root with honey taken after meal is effective for treating heartburn. * Fruits like apple, watermelon and banana are recommended for people with hyperacidity problem. * Take a glass of Buttermilk/day, this may help to reduce recurrent loose motions.
Yoga and Pranayama Vajrasana Yoga Mudra Bhujangasana Salabhasana Surya Namaskara Bhastrika Pranayama Shitali pranayama Shitkari pranayama Jallundhar Bandha Shavasana Kunjal Kriya Note: The above said practices should be followed under strict supervision of qualified trainer. Ayurvedic medicines: Acidity package medicine Also, Amlaki Since you are taking allopathy medicines, you need to give a gap of 1 hour between ayurvedic medicines and allopathy medicines. Go through these tips and if you have any doubt, feel free to ask. With regards, Dr.Vijay. posted by ayurvijay on 9 February 2010 15:29
