Jaundice with abnormal liver profile can be treated with ayurvedic medicines and other system of Indian medicines. If it is clear that your father is suffering from jaundice, he can go for alternative therapies and ayurvedic medicines.

In order to enhance proper liver function and to reduce the symptoms, and to prevent recurrence these medicines and regimens are helpful along with proper diet.

Avoid oily foods, salt should not be consumed, spicy foods, street vendors food items should be avoided. Consume fresh leafy vegetable, fruit juice, fresh tomato juice, radish leaves juice, sugar cane juice etc are useful.

Fresh butter milk is very helpful. Light carbohydrate diet and less or no fats are indicated.

Though, there are traditional folklore medicines are useful, one should be careful regarding authenticity. Ayurvedic medicines liver are Liverex and Udaramrit Vati and using Punarnavarishtam are useful.

To enhance liver and function and to prevent risk of liver cirrhosis or any kind of hepatic related complaints, you need to be careful and preventive measures should be taken.
