Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hello, Tinnitus is a medical condition when the hearing process is impaired and different types of sounds can be heard. Ayurveda correlates it as karnanada where karna - ears and nada - noisy sounds where vitiated vata dosha hinder the ear pathways resulting in heard sound. Ayurveda recommendations for tinnitus are as follows- 1.Divya sarivadi vati - 2 tablets thrice a day with luke warm water after meals. 2.Saptamrit lauh - 125 mg in luke warm water after meals thrice a day nourishes the nerves and strengthen the same. 3.Balaristha- 30ml in equal amount of water twice a day after meals. 4.Ashwagandhadi kwath- 30ml in equal amount of water after meals twice a day. Nasya with Shadbindu oil and anu tailum should be given to pacify the vata dosha. Kavaal dharna with ashwagandha oil or bala oil should be done twice a day. In case complete damage of nerve has occurred then repair can not be possible as neurons can never be regenerated.

Tinnitus is seen as an premonitory symptom before hearing loss. It could be either senorinerual or conductive type of hearing loss. Please let me know all the investigation reports to guide you further.

Ayurvedic medicines like Aswagandha churnam and Divya Sarivadi Vati can be taken for a month and review. Ayurvedic treatments like nasyam, head massage and karnapuranam will be beneficial.

Include artichokes, berries, olive oil, avocados, green tea, whole grains, garlic, pomegranate, cinnamon, coriander, turmeric and ghee. Reduce excess nuts, refined flour, spicy foods, canned foods, sweets, oil and salt. Regular exercise, yogasanas and pranayamam will be beneficial to improve the sense of hearing. Try to avoid exposure to loud noise for a long time.
