Hi,

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and has undergone Surgery, Chemo and Radio therapies too. However, there is a re-occurrence of cancer this time in spleen as per her CT scan.. However since she is on medicines, the size of the cells has not increased in past 6 months. I request your advice on how to go further. Doctors will be advising her same chemo and radio again. Hello sir, Since there is the stage of metastasis to the subsequent organs, there may be reoccurrence.

The following information can may help you.

In order to control the progress and avoid the side effects related to the chemo and radiotherapy we may depend on alternative therapies such as Ayurveda as well as yoga and meditation. Though there are no assured medicines in Ayurveda or herbal we can consider these medicine as supportive. It can be stated that the alternative therapies can be helpful in the management of cancer many ways, as prophylactic, palliative, curative & supportive and no doubt it helps to improve quality of life, so keeping this truth that there is no miracle cure for this type of metastasis, you can only take these suggestions and proceed further according to your convenience.

It can be concluded with a word that alternative therapies can be very useful both ways; to add years to life, and to add life to years. To combat cancer and combining traditional healthcare knowledge, you may depend on combined therapies.

Along with suggested medications or treatments you can do yogasanas and pranayama. In Ayurveda there are some set of medications for breast Cancers and its metastatic stages such a Gojivha, Chinchabhallataka, Jivaniya gana etc. also, there are certain medicines for cancerous conditions, you can use any of these medicines as palliative treatment, among those I would suggest initially you may start with Aamapachana vati, Samir Pannaga Rasa, Divya Sanjeevani Vati and Sitophaladi churnam.

Note: You can consult personally with qualified ayurvedic doctor and continue with these medicines.

For further quires you can contact us back. With regards, Dr.Vijay.

Thank you very much Dr. Vijay for your reply. We want to go into alternate treatments hence I sought answers through this column. Will it be possible for us to meet you in person? Can we go ahead and discuss this case with doctors at the Patanjali clinics and get the treatment? I want to start with the treatment as soon as possible. Please suggest.

Regards,

Amit
