dear sir, I am srinivas aged 55years have under gone by pass surgery 5 years ago. presently i am doing kapala baathi for 10 minutes and anuloma viloma for 5 minutes . please advice some yoga exercises for the good health of heart.

It is very important to have regular checkups as advised by your cardiologist after surgery. Healthy lifestyle with proper diet, exercise like walking and reduced stress will be beneficial.

Medicines like Divya Arjuna aristam and Divya Hridyamrit Vati, Divya Chandraprabha Vati can be taken to improve the function of the heart.

Include complex carbohydrates, horse gram, celery, pomegranates, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, turmeric, cinnamon, garlic and ginger. Reduce excess refined flour, canned foods, sweet, oil, caffeine, meat and salt. Yogasanas like Navasana, Marjaryasana,Shavasana, Mandookasana, Padmasana, Shaskasana and Vajrasana can be practised. Pranayamam, meditation and gentle exercise will be beneficial to improve the oxygenation to the heart.
