Hello,

Kidney Stones or renal calculi may occur anywhere in the urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, ureters, urethra) with the symptoms of colic pain. Some times it is noticed in later stages when the blockage occurs to the urinary tract.

As in your case, the presence of kidney stone is confirmed, you can follow these instructions which may help for you.

Factors which contribute to kidney stones: Recurrent urinary tract infections. Drinking too little fluid. Taking medications like calcium-based antacids. Metabolic disorders such as hyperthyroidism. Gout and chronic bowel inflammations and chronic constipation. Blockage of the urinary tract. Consuming too much calcium, red meat, vitamin C in the diet.

Prevention: Drink plenty of water every hour during daytime and whenever you get up at night, at least 3 liters per day. Avoid large doses of vitamin C (4 gm or more daily) and excessive use of calcium-based antacids. If you already have calcium stones, avoid dairy products, tea, chocolate, coffee, nuts, palak (spinach), etc. Consume vegetables (radish and cucumber), fruits (water melon) and cereals (horse gram and barley.

Regular intake of pumpkin or Loki juice along with honey in the morning empty stomach is also beneficial.

Suggested medications: Cystone Himalaya , Divya Ashmarihar Kvath, Renal stone package medicine are helpful.

with regards, Dr. Vijay
