Thyroiditis(Hyperactive) and Medha Vati

Hello, I have Thyroiditis on the hyper side. I have been advised to take Kachnar Guggul. I also want to try Medha Vati. However I have read somewhere that the ingredient it contains ashwagandha and it increases hyperthyoidism. Is this true? if not can I take medha vati for improving memory and reducing stress.
