Other information: I want to reduce my weight (bring it to at least 60kg). I need your advice and suggestions on this. I walk everyday 1 hr + do some abs exercise. pls suggest me medicine for weight loss.

Hello, By checking the personal history sent; your BMI will be :33.3 so BMI is showing that you are obese, according to your height and age your weight should be with in 50 - 55 and BMI will be with in 25. Considering your chief complaints that is OVERWEIGHT let me tell tell you first what is overweight and obese. Overweight and Obese : Overweight and Obesity is defined as the abnormal excessive accumulation of body fat in the body to an extent where it causes the negative health on the body where as if the BMI is within 25 to 30 is overweight and if BMI is above 30 is obesity. Causes for being obese are: Familial history, sedentary lifestyle, endocrinol disorders (hypothyroidism, pcos, diabetes) checking with your TSH reading it shows high hence hypothyroidism is also one of the reason for being overweight (obese) reducing the level of TSH also helps in losing weight.. your cholesterol levels are also high (hyperlipidemia) this is due to abnormal amount of lipids in the blood and also leading further risk factors like heart diseases. line of treatment to reduce weight is by some of the lifestyle changes and just follow these three thing:
Improve your metabolism : For healthy body and mind detoxify your body both internally and externally and improve your metabolism this can be done by consuming the fruits and vegetables with rich antioxidants. DIET: this is one the most important factor, cut down on the fat, carbohydrates and the junk food eating habits, maintain the correct food timing , also NOTE excess of dieting that is the body needs minimum of 1200Kcal per day and the food consumption is below 1200Kcal body starts acting reverse that is it starts storing the fat in the body instead of losing Regular physical exercise : 1 hr of brisk walking, yogasana and pranayama. As mentioned, your BMI calculated makes you fall under obese category. This tells that you need to reduce your weight for a healthy living.

Here walking and exercise alone will not resolve the issue. You will have to bring a change in dietery lifestyle and ayurvedic medicines for this. Here i shall give you the best suggestions which can help resolve the issue

  1. Medohara guggulu - This is a classical ayurvedic preparation which helps in reducing weight. It shall be taken at a dosage of 1 tab three times a day after food.

  2. Triphala guggulu - This medicine shall be taken at a dosage of 2 tab twice daily. It shall be preferably taken after food.

  3. External therapy such as udwarthana is one which shall be done from your nearest ayurvedic center for 3 week time.

  4. Reduce the amount of food on each meal. You can practice this by leaving a quarter of your stomach empty after each meal. Try avoiding fast foods and pastries as much as possible.

Your BMI is 33 which is in the very obese category. So you must try to control your weight for enhancing fertility and improving the health. Weight gain is often noticed in hypothyroidism and heredity also supports it.

Considering your blood reports, your triglycerides and TSH are high. Normal haemoglobin in women is 12-15gm/dL. Are you taking any medicines for hypothyroidism? But these are all inter-related.

Medicines like Varunadi Kasayam - 10ml with 4oml of boiled and warm water before food twice daily, Divya Kanchanar Guggulu are effective to improve thyroxine level, reduce weight and triglycerides.

Eat little frequently, especially less and early at night. Include bottle gourd, bitter gourd, plantain stem , horse gram, cinnamon. Reduce cabbage, raddish, millet, mustard greens, turnip, peaches, soya which hinders the absorption of thyroxine. Include foods that are rich in iodine like sea weeds, nuts, drum stick. Include iron rich foods like jaggery, dal, drumstick leaves, pomegranates, puffed rice. Reduce excess oil, salt, fat, sugar and anything taken in excess will be stored as triglycerides and will increase it . Practise yogasanas like Utkadasna, Paschimottasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana, Uthithapadasana, Padahastasana which helps to reduce weight and stimulate the uterus, sarvangasana, halasana which improves thyroid function and also exercise regularly.
