What can I do to cure my insomnia? this question feed

I have had chronic insomnia for 23 years. I have difficulty falling asleep and also staying asleep. I very often only get 1 to a couple of hours sleep per night. I had several shirodhara treatments in late 2008 and first have of 2009 which did help initially but then seemed to stop helping. In last half of 2009 I had several foot massage treatments which was helping but now I am back to not sleeping. I was also taking Meda Vati and Mukta Vati but do not know if this helped at all. Thank You.

Insomnia is very irritating problem. Person with sleeping disorders is more prone to depression. Generally anxiety, tensions and stress are the main factors which cause insomnia and sleep disturbances. We recommend you to make small changes in your daily routine and take simple and safe ayurvedic medicines to cure your insomnia problem. Rise early morning and go for walks. Practice pranayams and yogic exercises for about an hour or so. Take a glass of milk half an hour before going to sleep in nights. Take ayurvedic medicines nindrodya rasa and DIVYA ASHWAGANDHA CHOORAN to get sleeps naturally. Take these medicines after dinner with milk and almost half an hour to an hour before sleeping. Go for evening walks after dinner. practice shavasana and bhramri pranayams for about half an hour before sleeping. Meditation is also very helpful in the treatment of insomnia. So take these medicines regularly. These are non habit forming medicines and have no any side effect. A regular medication, meditation and pranayams will cure your insomnia problem. Further queries are welcome.
