Yoga for Sciatica this question feed

sir, I have problem of sciatica last 7 years, but in the mid I was doing yoga and the problem stopped but now it is back and I am again doing yoga but not 100% cured. Please tell me solution or yoga so that it can be cured for life time.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Sciatica is a problem due to the compression of the nerves as a result of disc prolapse or bulge commonly in L5-S1. It is commonly caused due to a mechanical injury. As it is a structural damage, it cannot be cured completely, but it can be managed with effective Ayurvedic treatments. Ayurvedic treatment known as Vasti or Medicated enema is very effective to relieve the pain with a long lasting effect. Other treatments like leaf poutlice or streaming oil is also beneficial.

Medicines like Sahacharadi Kasayam - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Simhanad Guggulu can be used for a month. Warm Kottanchukkadi thailam can be used for massaging the back and lower limbs.

Eat healthy foods and avoid cold refrigerated foods. Try to control the weight and avoid constipation. Stretches or Yogasanas like Dhanurasana, Matsyasana, Trikonasana, Bidalasana, Padahastasana, Vajrasana, Paschimottasana, Pavanamuktasana are good to reduce the back pain and to strengthen the back when practised regularly. Avoid straining the back and standing for long time.
