Yogurt and Cholesterol 
Hello Dr,
I love eating home-made yogurt. I have atleast one-two bowls of yogurt everyday. I just had my cholesterol level checked and it is LDL 138 and HDL 50.
Someone suggested me that I should stop eating yogurt as it increases LDL level.
Is that true?
I am trying to plan a baby soon so I want to lower my LDL as fast as possible.

Expert's Advice:- Hello, As per your given reports, your LDL is 138,which is normal and HDL cholesterol which is also called as good cholesterol is 50 and in positive side. However, you can put a limit for consuming yogurt and you can workout well such as physical exercises, walking. There are many home remedies such as consuming Methi internally, consuming garlic, are very helpful. However, you can monitor other blood irregularities that may hamper or alter cholesterol levels. Consume plenty of fiber rich foods. Avipattikar choorna, Divya Hridyamrit Vati are useful to maintain proper cardiac functioning and balance lipids. Balanced diet is important and a split meal is recommended for controlling diabetes and cholesterol levels. Hence, eat foods that are naturally low in fat like more fruits and vegetables, whole grains. Consume Apple, pomegranate (Occasionally), Goa fruit, in every alternative day, Coriander water is very useful.(boil water by adding coriander seeds). For more details, you can contact us.
