Can amla help in old constipations and loosing weight? does it regulate the metabolism rate?

I have been taking Amla juice prepared by Divya Pharmacy in the morning mixed with Aloe Vera juice to remove constipaton, indigestion, loss of aooetite but it does not help at all.I am a chronic diabetic patient (32 years) on insulin intake (10/8 m/e units). Apart from it, my weight is around 40 kg, height 5.4". I am under Vaidya in Saritra Vihar New Delhi. Lastly he has prescribed (i) Kayakalpa (ii) Udaramita and (iii) Haritki.
