Cold and cough are usually occurred due to viral infections and due to less immunity power. Due to less immunity power people do suffer and become more allergic and get cold and cough. In allopath, cold and cough are managed with the help of antihistamines or levocetirizines etc which gives temporary relief. But ayurvedic medicines are very helpful to boost immune power and controls cold and cough. These medicines will also help to to prevent recurrence of cold and cough. There are no side effects from ayurvedic medicines when used for cold and cough. One can use medicines like chaywanprash for long term and to the children who suffer from frequent cold and cough attacks. There are some medicines which help to prevent cough and cold and boosts immunity power, they are Agaasthya rasayanam, Thippali rasayanam, Chyawana prash etc, these medicines are not harmful if taken for long time. However, one can continue regular exercises, yoga and pranayama.
