Ayurvedic products are usually prepared of herbal and herbo-mineral drugs. Herbal drugs are very selective.

Ayurvedic medicines are prepared with multiple in combination of herbal or mineral drugs which are available in the form of formulae which are already explained in the ayurvedic texts.

Herbal medicines those are selected for medicinal preparations are any part of the herbal plant, it may be whole plant, or leaves, or fruits, or barks, or flower etc.

Apart from herbal medicines, other category of ayurveda medicines are minerals which are purified accordingly like mercury, sulphur, etc which are purified and used as medicines in permitted levels.

Ayurvedic medicines are very useful for treating diseases. As ayurveda medicines are prepared from natural origin, hence ayurveda medicines are very natural and do not have side effects.

Ayurvedic products are usually prepared as per ayurvedic texts which are universal and under the central council of Indian medicine norms. They are classical and other set of medicines are proprietary medicines.

There are lot number of companies do prepare ayurveda medicine such as Baidyanath, Himalaya health care, Dabur, emami, divya yog mandir, Kotakkal, Santhigiri, vaidyaratnam, Charak, Dabur, Hamdard, AVP etc.
