Ayurvedic medicines are used in many kinds of diseases and mainly it is very helpful in treating chronic disease rather than acute conditions.

In ayurveda, the disease classification is different and it also depends up on the constituency of the patient. Wide number of diseases are explained in ayurveda and treatments are explained accordingly.

Ayurvedic medicines are classified in two based on usage, that is external and internal. External medicines are like oils, powders, etc. Internal medicines are in the form of decoctions, tablets, powders, Lehyam, etc are used. Ayurvedic medicines are used for chronic conditions like arthritis, hyperacidity, diabetes, hypertension, etc.

Apart from treating the disease, ayurvedic medicines are used as rejuvenators and aphrodisiacs.

Gastrointestinal tract diseases like hyperacidity, ulcers, etc.

Respiratory system diseases like cough, cold, bronchial asthma, etc.

Nervous system related diseases like memory loss, loss of sleep, mental illness etc.

Cardiac complaints like hypertension, cholesterol abnormalities etc.

Other illnesses like obesity, sexual dysfunction, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction etc can be treated with ayurvedic medicines.
