Expert's Advice:- Hello, Dryness of skin occurs when there is no proper excretory function of skin, and when there is presence of less oil or sebum in skin glands. It happens usually where the humidity become low such as in winter climate. Due to nutrition deficiencies like vitamin E,B,A causes dry-skin, it may lead to less secretion of oil in glands. Illness like psoriasis, eczema, or dermatitis, may also lead to dry skin. Exposure to sun light for long time may also cause dryness. In order to maintain skin function well, one should follow strict diet and balanced diet. Combination of alternative therapies and complimentary medicine or herbal medicine may help to solve this problem. If you have nutrition deficiency, you have to balance the nutrition. Though there are ample number of home remedies, we suggest some important tips and medicines. Drinking liquids and water is very important. Usually dry skin occurs on exposed parts and extremities like hands and legs, and on face. Hence try always to protect skin from pollution, sun, dust, etc. Banana pack, apple pack is good. Avoid using harsh soaps. Grape seed oil and olive oil application before bath is useful. After bathing application of Aloevera gel is useful for dry skin. Usage of lavender oil (few drops) in bathing water also helpful. Skin care medicines like Arogyawardhini-Vati, Dabur Gulabari Cream, can be used along with Divya Amrit Rasayanam.
