Home remedies for Diarrhea

Diarrhea means frequent passing of watery or unformed stools also called as loose motions, it may lead to dehydration if not controlled in time. This may happen due to food poisoning, or indigestion, or any kind of gastric disturbance. If it occurs in long term, this may be due to irritable bowel syndrome or even collitiis may also be reason.

Causes may be due to putrefaction of intestinal mucosa, indigestion as mentioned, overeating, or even bacterial or viral infections. There are some remedies which can be followed as needed.

• Best home remedy is clarified butter milk. Repeated consumption of butter milk is very helpful.

• Ginger juice consumption is very helpful by diluting it with warm water.

• Combination of lemon juice and ginger juice along with pepper powder in the ratio of 2:2:1, and consumed twice daily.

• Carrot juice by adding 10 drops of honey is also helpful.

• Using fenugreek powder in butter milk is good remedy for loose motions.

• Consumption of pomegranate is also a best home remedy.

• Banana combined with curds and consumed for preventing diarrhea.

• Lemon tea preparation is also very helpful for controlling diarrhea.
