Ayurvedic Medicines are made up of typical herbs which are having medicinal qualities and those are formulated well. For each and every Ayurvedic medicine, there are different ingredients which are used according to classical explanation. So, the ingredients in Ayurvedic medicines are mainly of herbs which are very natural. It is noted and proven that there is no harmful chemicals if the preparation is according to classic texts like “Bhaishajya ratnavali,” “Sahasrayogam” etc. To maintain the authenticity of an Ayurvedic medicine, Indian government and health ministry had set a proper norms and regulated under Central Council of Indian Medicine. The norms are very strict to ensure the safety of a patient. “Good Medicine Practice” is also followed for the authenticity of a medicine. As a conclusion, if the medicines are prepared according to classics and texts with proper preparation mode, there would not be any chemicals which are harmful to the human being.
