Sacrolities in si joints this question feed

i m 32 yrs old male sufering from bilateral sacrolities in si joints.since 1998. pain now gradullay shifting towards knee. morning stiffness is no longer. only major pain starts from knee to back and it seems that one leg is shorter than another. due to pain it is almost mpossible to straight the both leg while sleeping.please advise me yoga or sutiable medicine. i do yoga(pranayam) not in regular basis due to my work.presently taking methotrexate15 mg once a week. CRP-96 & ESR -18 . bone scan showed right hip arthirities & de -generative chnges.inflammatory arthorapathy. HLAB-27 -ve & RA factor -ve.

Hello sir,

There are many different terms for sacroiliac joint problems including SI joint dysfunction, SI joint syndrome, SI joint strain, and SI joint inflammation with different causes.

SI joints have a cartilage layer covering the bone. The cartilage allows for some movement and acts as a shock absorber between the bones. When this cartilage is damaged or worn away the bones begin to rub on each other, and degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis) occurs. This is the most common cause of SI joint dysfunction. Degenerative arthritis occurs commonly in the SI joints just like other weight bearing joints of the body.

So overall, if you get treated for the degenerative arthritis with the help of alternative therapies, the problem may get resolved.

Along with your regular allopathy medications, you can follow some tips stated over here.

Avoid hot and spicy food and other foodstuffs that can aggravate bodily gas like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, okra, potatoes etc. These food items may cause aggravation of Vata in body.
