Expert's Advice:- Hello, For gaining weight, you need to analyze whether you are in ideal weight or underweight. That can be denoted by Body mass index or BMI. BMI is a statistical tool that helps in determining what a persons weight should be, based on his or her height. So you need to specify your age, height, weight etc. Regular intake of food is very important. Gradually increase your whole day’s caloric intake. Have small meals at frequent intervals. Eating food, which contains more fat is good for people who are thin. Drinking milk, banana, cheese, chicken meat etc are some foods, which contain more fat. Start your breakfast with a bowl of whole cereals and milk. Add some nuts or dry fruits like raisins, cashew nuts, almonds, dried figs etc. Consume energy dense foods such as mango milkshake, banana milkshake, nuts soaked in milk. Consume dry fruits like figs, dates and raisins 4-5 number in a day. Your major meals can include whole cereal wheat, rice or bread along with a serving of chicken, fish or lean meat or pulses and yoghurt. Sprouted grams like green gram is good and helpful to gain weight. Exercise to increase the muscle mass and also to increase your appetite. Basic yoga and pranayama is good to gain weight.
