My mother is suffering from ILD diagnosis since last year 2017. She is having medical treatment from hospital, however recently she is suffering more than last year as doctor think her ILD is increased but still in doctors observation. Expert's Advice (Dr.Ramani):- Pulmonary fibrosis causes scarring in the interstitium leading to respiratory symptoms. The scarring in the walls of the alveoli eventually affects the function of the lungs. As it is a progressive condition, the symptoms increase when not treated. Please continue the steroids and Ayurvedic medicines can be taken along with it. The alveoli and the pleura will be inflamed causing severe dyspnoea and cough.
